I'm in a feverish rush to craft a lot of my holiday gifts this year. One night when one of my dance classes was scheduled, I decided to take the time to finally enroll in a crochet class. I've wanted to for a while, but it has always conflicted with one of my other extracurricular activities. I didn't expect to start crocheting right away, but I found it was pretty fast and easy.
The pattern that the class provided was cute, but in my preparation for it, I had picked out a few patterns that looked easy just in case I needed something to practice with. After leaving the class I immediately cast on the
Tea Scarf pattern that I found on
Ravelry.
I was able to crochet this in a couple of nights. I love that it was so fast to put together! I'm not 100% sold on crocheting, but I will admit that it's pretty handy.
The yarn is from
Three Irish Girls in the colorway Riordan. It was lovely to work with.
One gift, checked off the list!
Gosh, you're a quick study! That looks lovely - I'm sure you'll find loads of ways to use crochet in your creations!
ReplyDeleteYou're always so productive when we watch television -- it is a skill I envy since you're constantly producing something. I always focus on the television as I have no hobbies for my hands other than typing and when I'm on my computer I'm missing out on quality television! I might miss Patricia Arquette cry or something... :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours - can't believe you have never done it before - it looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteI loved the yarn colors. I hope I have enough to maybe do one for myself. It was kinda fun too... I think I secretly like crochet. I'm a little in denial about it.
