and just because I appreciate my readers, I am giving away two of the
new Simplicity summer patterns.
One may look familiar – I just made Simplicity 1873.
And the other dress, Simplicity 0325, just looked like a fun summer pattern. I love the center pleat in the skirt.

Thanks for hosting this giveaway. I really like Simplicity 0325. My favorite summer activity is going to the pool. My email address is charlenepayne001@hotmail.com.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I like Simplicity 0325.
ReplyDeleteMy summer activity is gardening, and my week long Adult Summer Break 2012!
Whitneyrs@gmail.com
I like the first one - simplicity 1873 - but I would make it in a darker colour. I recently went through all my clutter and realized that I need clothes in neutral colours so I can mix and match. My favourite summer activity? gardening, reading, relaxing but definitely not baking - it's too hot!
ReplyDeleteI fell in love eith the second pattern, the Simplicity 0325 :)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!
My summer tradition is to explore a town where Ive never been before, take a lot of photos and relax
lunasantos@gmx.de
Loving both patterns, but if i had to choose it would be 0325. My favourite activity is going to the park with my boyfriend. We take a picnic and just chill out and people watch! jo.erlebach@googlemail.com
ReplyDeleteOoh, how wonderful! I love 1873 - I'm getting into a serious dress kick at the moment. We have a summer tradition of going away with friends and kids for a camping trip! The fresh air helps wear out the children and the parenting is shared (even by our childless friends!) and we all have a blast!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity 1873
ReplyDeleteI don't have a summer tradition :( All I seem to do is work! But maybe my new tradition will be hanging out with you in July! :)
I like the first one --1873. I past over this pattern until I started seeing it made up, and it's really cute.
ReplyDeleteI love to garden, but only in the early am before it hits 100 degrees. After that it's a/c and a cool drink or the pool for me.

What a great giveaway! I would love a copy of 0325.
ReplyDeleteI love to go to the ocean in the summer. Preferably a nice sandy beach on a sunny day with a picknick basket all packed with goodies :)

Thank you for the giveaway I like Simplicity 1873! Since it is the tropics here all year long I like to lounge around in an air conditioned room and have a luxurious nap or even sew, yes sew!

What a great giveaway! Simplicity 1873 for me, all the way!!! As for my favorite thing about summer...It's got to be seeing through all the goals that I tend set as a spring renewal. Some don't come to fruition, but even so, the pursuit of them in the summer makes for some pretty amazing adventures :)
ReplyDeleteI like the Simplicity 1873. I want to make a dress with princess seams. I love eating ice cream and swimming.

Hi. I love Simplicity 0325, but both patterns are cute. My favourite summer activity? Sitting near the sea or wandering round/exploring little towns and villages - its just lovely to be able to wear (weather permitting!) all those gorgeous summer clothes you've made. jessop.janet@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteGorgeous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, if given a chance, I'd take both. Both are simply pretty to be worn in any time and in any occasion.
Summer. My favourite thing to do in summer is to enjoy ice cream outdoor. Simple, I know, but every summer for several years now, I have been heading to Europe to visit the in-laws and each time I am outside, I wanted ice cream. I know I could do this here, but somehow, it doesn't hold the same magic.
I would like the the cynthia rowley pattern. My favourite summer tradition is to spend time at the beach. Nothing like a swim in salt water to invigorate you.
ReplyDeleteemail:withfaith@hotmail.com
I love the third one, 0325, with the pleat - it's just that bit 'different'. I love to swim in the summer. I'm in a regular habit again after the winter. There's a pool not far from where I live and I make myself get up at 9 in the morning on a Sunday to be there. It's lovely gliding through the water, especially as I swim towards a glass wall where the sun streams in ...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the 1873!! SOOOO cute!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer tradition is cooking out and just hanging around the house with my family. :)
i like 1873. it has the princess line that makes a better FBA and the pleat looks slenderizing. also, anything shown in a very-above-the-knee length i immediately interpret as them selling to a market that i'm not a part of. 1873 shows a dress suitable for any figure type and age.
ReplyDeletemy favorite summer pastime is swimming in the ocean and reading in the shade listening to the waves.

My favourite is 0325. In the Summer on a warm day when I am not working I love to sit in the garden with some handsewing. Thank you for this pattern giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love Simplicity 0325. In summer i love going to the beach to make sand castles with my friends. We are all late 20s. ha ha ha

Hi, I like Simplicity 0325. My favorite summer tradition is our yearly clambake at my Aunt's house - been happening since before I was born!
ReplyDeleteThe second one looks great with that pleat in the front, 0325 for me please! As for a summer activity, getting out in the fresh air and spending time with family and friends. If I can be near the sea even better!
ReplyDeleteHi Christine,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blog's sucess!
I love it!! (RSS, Fbk and the Sew Weekly)
During the summer I like to go to the beach, the pool, the festivals and concerts in Montreal.
I would like to participate for Simplicity 1873.
Perhaps a good asset to my starting self-made wardrobe.
I would love to win Simplicity 1873! My favorite summer tradition is heading to Schlitterbahn with the whole family. It's something I've done since I was a little girl, and I love to continue the fun with my nieces and nephews today. We pack a picnic and all have a blast. Thanks for the chance to win!

Hi - love your blog, your clothing is inspirational to me. I've been reading since I found you through Rhinestones & Telephones, but rarely comment. I also really enjoy your Sunday Treats. I like the Simplicity 0325.
ReplyDeleteFavorite summer activity? Anything on the deck - with friends. Knitting? yes please. BBQ - sure! Just drinking coffee and reading a book by myself - I'm so there. g
Congratulations on your blog! I really like the summer dress with the pleat, very pretty! Thanks for the chance to win. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer activities are pretty simple. Enjoying the outdoors, whether its swimmimg, picking blueberries, strawberries etc or working in the garden.
Thanks again!
Hi there
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be counted in for Simplicity 0325 please!
Favourite summer activity? Reading in the park, with an ice cream :)
Congratulations on your many blog and Facebook followers. Wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer activity is going to Block Island, RI with my boyfriend. During this heat wave, I am also devoted to jumping into the pool as soon as I get home from work!
Both patterns are awesome, but I'm really taken by that pleat. 0325 please!
I really like 0325 - I do like the other one too, but I have massively wide shoulders so I don't really like wearing sleeveless dresses…
ReplyDeleteI live in England (where we've barely had a proper summer this year), which means that summer time is cricket time! A lot of my friends play in casual teams, so sometimes it's just about rocking up in a park at a weekend with a picnic, but I also watch a lot of international matches (England v the West Indies and v Australia so far this year, v South Africa still to come). I'm not sure how much appeal cricket has for Americans, but I don't understand baseball either… ;)
