Sweet Treats Saturday: Valentine Cookies

I wanted a fast an easy Valentine's themed cookie for my goodie bags that I am making for my co-workers and dance classes.  This recipe fit the bill - I ended up making two batches as they were so easy to put together.

I didn't end up doing the frosting as I wanted a cookie that I could throw into a treat bag.  I sprinkled each cookie with Valentine's colored sprinkles and called it a day!

The only variation that I made was that I ended up using a small cookie dough scoop to distribute the cookies as the first round that I did had spread considerably on the baking sheet and did not really hold the piped shape.  They were still delicious, but I thought it would be easier in the end and would give me a more uniform cookie size if I used the scoop.
